Horrible galley/crew mess arrangement.

Never go out in rough sea with a normal boat. RIB's are the best. Very instructive and it is fun if boat jumps if you take the waves. However it is a completely different story if waves are 10 to 15 mtr like on Waddenzee with stormy weather. Then ride the wave up very gentle to avoid crashing down over the top but not to slow also because at any time you must avoid that waves roll into the boat. I wish that there was a school for that.

Advertising this as "Solar Powered" is misleading. This vessel only has a very short range on battery power and not much more with solar assisting the batteries. the only way this ship has long range is..... with the "Range Extenders"... diesel powered generators. Silent Yachts also tries to pull off this misdirection. This is my favorite Sunreef but you should be honest in how you advertise for it. To be honest this vessel is "Solar Assisted". The only semi-truth to "solar powered" is that the vessel can function while anchored on solar and battery power alone.

beautiful ship,..but I do have a little nit to pick that most others will notice, but pass over. as a woodwoorker, its just a small thing, but when you see the teak slat decking(maybe a composite),...all the ends line up perfectly...every 3rd board. they should ALL be randomly staggered. it would unify the look of the deck. the decking should never really "draw the eye", so to speak. I can't imagine they did it to "keep costs down".

Hugo great article what type and model of tender is this please? Is there much difference in the performance of these with say a rib hull tender, an air deck tender and a salted or rigid floor tender please ?

I have one on order through Neville, Ideal Boats, who have been great. I was glad to see your review and comments on the boat, particularly the doors and frame. Your comment on the boat being great all around and for all seasons is why I bought it. Nice to hear this from someone with more experience than I. I just need to figure out a system for the blinds for privacy and sun protection as I intend to use mine for longer adventures. Any suggestions are warmly welcome. Great video and thank you.

I don't like the rearward slanting front windows. They looked cool in the 80's, but they are heat gatherers and look dated by now. Trawler-style rulez!

I could live on that boat.

She is an all rounder with her cabins, drop down balconies, smallish heads. Clever use of seats. A great day or weekend boat for all weathers with the close or open wheelhouse. Sleeps 4 comfortable. A good boat with great agility dorys what it says on the tin. Like her.

Really nice boat, the rear lifting window would be better manually operated though. ❤️🇬🇧

That window is so slow it removes some of the luxury feel.

66 litres an hour at 16 knots - exactly the same as my Swift Trawler 34 (only I’m buying cheaper diesel….) However, if I try really hard (downhill) I’ve maxed at 21 knots… Nice boat, great review as ever. Has the boat been antifouled? The hull looks as if it’s been in the water a week unprotected. And can you Drystack it? I know the 32 will Drystack - but is this a step too far?

That is a cracking boat, so flexible with the different configurations and nicely finished off, I was surprised when you showed us the rear cabin, It handled brilliantly out at sea, it did not appear to struggle at all just looked smooth and capable. Definitely a boat to consider in this price range. Great video Hugo thank you.

Thanks for the tour of the new Saxdoor. A lot to like, but I find some features almost too clever -- they sort of get in your way. Very much not a fan of the lack of convenient access to side decks for hanging fenders. A lot of competition in the "commuter" niche -- Axopar, Wellcraft, Nimbus, Juneau and Windy to name some. I think the American Boston Whaler 380 Realm competes well, although it's a much heavier, more expensive boat. The Tiara 43 LS is a fine competitor also.
